Summary ISLAMABAD: There was continuous snowfall in Murree and Gilgit-Baltistan for last three days.

 


The snowfall is continuing for the last 3 days in Gilgit and Baltistan resulting into closure of all link roads to the areas.


A stupendous spell of snowfall in Murree has turned the queen of hills virtually into paradise of picnickers who have thronged to the area to enjoy pleasantries of whispering hilltops.

The sporadic rains have also embellished the recreational spots of Kaghan, Naran, Shogran with jewels of attraction and temptation for all and sundry. Snow rule prevails with mighty prowess in tribal areas and Orakzai agency, Kurram Agency and Khyber agency.


Cold winds are raging with all ferocity in North Balochistan forcing the people to stay indoors.


Temperature has dipped to minus 19 degree in Qallat. The clusters upon clusters clouds are hovering and thundering terribly in Karachi and Quetta.


Hailstorm hitting Gilgit and Baltistan since the last three days has paralyzed normal life in these parts of the country. Land routes to upper valley Neelum, Garaiz valley and Lipa valley have been closed for vehicular traffic.


As per met office, the highest spell of rain which lashed Malam Jab was recorded 56 millimeter. Heavy rain and snowfall are likely to hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan and Quetta and Zobe divisions in the next 24 hours.


The lowest temperature of minus 18 degree was recorded in Qalat .
