Summary Defence Secretary says CIA has handed over list of its representatives operating in Pakistan.
RAWALPINDI: Secretary Defence, Lt. Gen (Retd) Asif Yaseen Malik has said CIA has handed over list of its representatives operating in Pakistan.
Talking to the media, he said that America had also used other intelligence networks against Pakistan, while CIA had handed over list of its representatives operating in Pakistan.
Deliberating that both USA and Britain were against Pakistan’s nuclear program, he also disclosed that “following the orders of (then) British Prime minister, the British intelligence, M-16 had arrested the very first Pakistani nuclear engineer”.
Asif Yaseen said Pakistan developed fresh relations with US on mutual interest basis. US tone towards Pakistan had changed, he added.
To a question, he said defence ministry had not received any order from law ministry on former army chief Gen (retd) Aslam Baig and ex-ISI DG Lt Gen (retd) Asad Durrani in Asghar Khan case.
The secretary clarified that there is no political cell in ISI.
