Summary Voting on a no-trust motion against Balochistan Assembly Speaker Aslam Bhootani will be held today.
Quetta: The motion was moved on December 19 against the speaker after he had refused to chair any session of the house until the status of the provincial government was not clear following a Supreme Court ruling.
Earlier addressing a press conference, Bhootani said that the Constitution had been violated while presenting the motion. “The motion was presented against me after I took the stand that since the Supreme Court has declared the Balochistan government unconstitutional, I will not preside over the assembly session until the status of the provincial government is not clear.”
The speaker maintained that Chief Minister Aslam Raisani was backing the movers of the motion.
