ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission has decided to hold the general elections of national and provincial assemblies on the same date.
Sources say that ECP has written a letter to Finance Division in which it has called for funds for elections.
The printing of stationary except ballot papers has been started.
This time election commission would retain old system of elections as any change has not been made in the method of polling vote.
The sources also revealed that registration of voters is being carried out at right place of his /her residence.
The registration process of new voters would be continued till the final date of elections.
Provincial Election Commissioners have also commenced preparations of the elections.
