Dunya News gets copy of Abbottabad Commission report
Dunya News has acquired the copy of the Abbottabad Commission report.
It was revealed in the Abbottabad Commission report that Dr Shakeel Afridi, the man who played an important role in Osama Bin Laden killing, was unaware of the fact that he was assigned to carry out DNS sampling of children of Al Qaeda chief.
Dr Shakeel Afridi met CIA officials first time at the office of an NGO in Peshawar. After three to four meeting with the CIA officials, Dr Afridi agreed to carry out a campaign against hepatitis in an area in Abbottabad where Osama Bin Laden compound was located.
Dr Afridi carried out campaign against hepatitis three times but failed in vaccination of Osama Bin Laden’s children thus the plan of DNS sampling could not be materialized.
After that Dr Afridi acquired the services of a lady health worker for DNA sampling of the children. She established contact with Khalid Al-Kuwaiti, a close companion of Osama. Khalid Al-Kuwaiti put a condition that she will not enter the compound but allowed her to administer hepatitis drops to the children outside the house. Thus the samples were obtained and sent to United States for confirmation.
It is also revealed in the report that Dr Shakeel Afridi also had a device on which a female CIA official from Islamabad used to contact him.
Dr Afridi was used to ask to travel to Islamabad where he used to meet a lady CIA agent in a black car. Dr Afridi and CIA agent used to travel in that car while lying down in a bid to doge intelligence agencies.
Complete information about Osama’s residence in Abbottabad was also obtained by CIA through this device.
It is also revealed that the voice matching of Osama’s wife Khairia was carried out by Dr Amna who was an assistant of Dr Afridi.
The report further revealed that Dr Afridi was asked to wind up his project and leave Pakistan after DNA confirmation. He was asked to shift to US till the day when Osama Bin Laden compound in Abbottabad was raided.
The CIA paid $ 10,000 to Dr Afridi for this project.
