A local court in Karachi sent a suspected terrorist, who was accused of plotting to conduct a suicide attack on the Ashura procession, on a ten-day physical remand.

 

It is worth mentioning here that the CID police arrested Ataulla alias Ali yesterday after a police encounter in Manghopir area of the metropolis.

 

The investigation officer told the court that Ataullah and his accessories readied a plan to carry out a suicide attack on Ashura procession.

 

The miscreant told the court that he had planned to head towards Ashura procession with suicide vest on; but, the police, aborting his plan, arrested him.

 

The court gave the accused in police custody on ten-day physical remand.
