Vehari: Threat calls’ suspect to interior ministry held

Summary Vehari police has held a suspect for making threatening calls to interior ministry officials.

 

The suspect works as a constable at the Vehari Police Patrol.


Rehman Malik had revealed during a press conference that he and his officers had received death threats through text messages and had informed the media that security officials had traced the sender of messages.


The interior ministry officials had received threats through calls and messages from an unidentified number after the Rawalpindi and Karachi blasts that took place on November 21.


The number of the suspect was traced and he was found to a police constable posted in Vehari.

The government has increased security across Pakistan since Muharram began.


To avert terror apprehensions Interior Minister Rehamn Malik had ordered bans on riding motorcycles, pillion riding and cellular services in different parts of the country.
