Mobile phone services again suspended
Cellular services have been suspended in more than 50 cities of the country due to security reasons.
The mobile phone service in more than 50 major cities of the country was suspended in the early hours of Sunday.
The decision to suspend cellular services was taken on the request of provincial governments. The mobile phone services in Lahore and Karachi were suspended at 3:00am, three hours before the schedule announced on Friday night by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
The cities where mobile phone would remain suspended include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Multan, Gujranwala, Rahimyar Khan, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Jhang, Nankana, Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Khairpur, Nosheroferoz, Nowshehra, Charsadda, Harripur, Mansehra, Kohat, Mardan, Tank, Bango,DI Khan, Quetta, Kallat, Kohlu and Gilgit Biltistan.
Meanwhile, PTCL service in Miran Shah will also remain suspended.
