Updated on

Summary Strike in Balochistan hospitals entered 38th day to protest against kidnapping of doctor.

The doctors have vowed to continue their strike until the dismissal of cases against them along with the fulfillment of their demands.

The emergency services remained suspended in all public hospitals for the fifth consecutive day while the provincial government has sealed all private hospitals.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Nursing Federation announced to support doctors’ strike. However, they continued their services in public hospitals due to Muharram.

Due to the absence of doctors, patients are forced to move to other provinces for treatment.

The strike is being observed on the call of the Pakistan Medical Association (Balochistan) which was called on after the abduction of Dr Saeed Ahmed Khan, an eye specialist and head of LRBT Hospital, on October 16 from Saryab Road in the provincial capital.
