The Supreme Court has allowed the president to file reference in Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges appointment case. Meanwhile, the court rejected the plea to provide interim relief to judges of IHC.
A four-member bench of apex court headed by Justice Khilji Arif Hussain resumed hearing into the the case of appointment of two IHC judges.
AG Irfan Qadir submitted written statement in the court, stating that the President has decided to file reference in judges appointment case under article 186 of the constitution.
Allowing the president to file the reference, the bench adjourned the hearing for fifteen days.
