Summary At least seven cities and 30 districts across the country have been declared highly sensitive.

 

Seven cities, including Karachi, Quetta, Hangu, Skardu and Jhang, have been delared highly sensitive on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashoor while Army will be deployed in 30 districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Jehlum and Gujranwala. Army chief has issued instruction to corps commanders to monitor the law and order situation in these districts.

 

More that 50,000 police, Rangers and other security personnel will be deployed in Sindh including Karachi for security reasons while security plan for ‘Majalis and processions in province has been finalized and more than 15,000 police officials and 25,000 Rangers will perfume duties on 8, 9 and 10 Muharram.

 

At least 60 police officials will be deployed in six hospital of Karachi where emergency will be delared while three counter assault teams have been established for Nishtar Park, Tibbet Centre and densoo Hall.

 

All shope on the routes of mourning processions will be sealed while MA Jinnah Road will remain blocked after 6:00pm.

 

At least 960 CCTV cameras have been installed in Karachi for monitoring the situation while one prigade of Pakistan Army will remain standby in Karachi and Hyderabad.

 

In Lahore, all private educational institions will remain closed from today till November 25 due to security reasons while ban has been imposed on pillion riding.

 

Three days holiday has been delared in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and all government and private offices will remain closed.
