Summary
The former Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Sardar Latif Khosa has accused the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary of removing him from the office, Dunya news Wednesday reported. The former AGP maintained that corruption accusations against him should not be heard in the court. He was talking to media outside the SC. Khosa was removed from office some 10 days ago and the government has yet to appoint the new AGP. He was appointed as special adviser to the Prime Minister; however, it wasnt cleared in which field he would advise the PM. Talking to Dunya News noted solicitor SM Zafar lamented on the situation. He opined that the SC should forward such issues to those who were concerned to it. Zafar believed that accusations were of such nature that they should be investigated independently. On the other hand, Justice (R) Wajihuddin termed the issue legitimate.
