Summary Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif has said the country is facing serious issues like extremism and terrorism.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shrif said this while presiding over a high-level meeting held to review law and order situation and security arrangements during Moharram-ul-Haram, here on Thursday.
"The enemy wants to destabilize the country and the extraordinary situation demands extraordinary measures, whatever is humanly possible, is being done to maintain law and order and atmosphere of brotherhood during Moharram-ul-Haram", he added.
He said that the nefarious designs of the enemy would be defeated with the power of unity and brotherhood.
Senior police officers sitting in their offices should visit various districts to monitor security arrangements, he directed.
Senior Advisor Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Member Provincial Assembly Hafiz Mian Muhammad Nauman, Chief Secretary, Secretary Home, Secretary Health, Inspector General of Police and officers concerned attended the meeting.
