Summary Federal Secretary says loadshedding duration would be reduced to two hours till March 2013.
Addressing to the Officers of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) at New Senate Hall in Agriculture University on Saturday, Federal Secretary Water and Power Nargis Sethi said that the government was paying full attention for complete overhauling of power sector to bring economic stability.
Faisalabad is the backbone of country’s economy and the supply of electricity without interruption can end unemployment, Sethi said.
Adding, She said the government was making an all out effort to provide electricity to all consumers including industrialists and commercial consumers. She said that the government has planned to complete mega hydel power projects on priority for producing low-cost electricity, which could provide ample electricity, helping not only end power load shedding but also boost the economy.
The Federal Secretary maintained the Ministry of Water and Power was working day and night for keeping high standards of good governance, fight out corruption, remove line losses and improve the efficiency at every level in the Ministry.
She hoped with improvement in governance and keeping a high standard working environment, the country could get rid of power load shedding in future.
Nargis Sethi said that the load shedding duration would be reduced to two hours till March 2013 while the electricity supply without interruption to be ensured on religious festivities.
