Summary The LHC has sought an explanation from Petroleum Advisor over wrong statement before media.
It is worth mentioning that the issue of hike in petroleum prices is being heard by the Lahore High Court. Despite this, Dr Asim Hussain issued a wrong statement while giving an interview to a private TV channel.
Lahore High Court bench comprising Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandial and Justice Aesha Malik is conducting hearing of petitions moved against prices of petroleum products.
During hearing of the case, it was told to the court that Dr Asim issued a contradictory statement while giving an interview to Dunya News.
Hearing preliminary arguments, the court had ordered the Advisor to Petroleum Dr Asim to appear in the court on November 22 and adjourned the court till next hearing.
