Summary WHO has stopped polio teams after knowing they worked without NICs in Quetta.
The National Health Department has asked the teams to produce their National Identity Cards for the payment.
The WHO officials have made it clear none without NIC will be paid. A special meeting under Shehnaz Wazir Ali was also held in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat regarding the issue.
The meeting decided to make the NICs mandatory for the vaccination team members in the future. Shehnaz also demanded that provincial governments should submit the record of identity cards of the polio vaccination teams.
