At least 15 people have been killed and several others injured in Karachi in a fresh spate of violence.

 

A man was killed in Sohrab Goth, while a man, Mukhtar Huussain, who was injured at Martin Road, succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

 

Three people were killed in firing incidents near Martin Quarters and Soldier Bazaar. Unknown terrorists opened fire in Manghopir, killing one person.

 

Meanwhile, a clash between two rival armed groups left eight people wounded, including a reporter for a local television channel and an ambulance driver. The incident happened near the Edhi centre in restive Sohrab Goth area of the city.

 

A man and his sons were gunned down by unknown men near Islam Chowk in Orangi Town. They have been identified as Jarar Hussain, Imdad Hussain and Sajjad. A mutilated body identified as Akhtar Hussain was recovered from Muahammad Ali society.

 

Law enforcing agencies conducted a targeted operation in different areas of Sohrab Goth and arrested two suspects. They also recovered weapons from their possession.

 

Residents of Sohrab Goth besieged in their houses after the gun-battle reverberated the area. The shootout also caused to huge traffic jam.
