Summary The Senate body on Water and Power has issued arrest warrant of chief Executive Officer of KESC.

It has recommended Secretary Interior and Chief Secretary Sindh to present him on Dec 03 before the committee.Meeting of Senate Standing committee on Water and Power was held here on Thursday under the Chair of Senator Zahid Khan and showed grave concerns over absence of CEO Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Tabish Gohar.Senators said that CEO was given chance to appear before the committee however it seems that he has not respect for Parliament and parliamentarians therefore he should be deal strictly.Standing committee issued arrest warrant of CEO and asked Secretary Interior and Chief Secretary Sindh to present him before the Senate standing committee on water and power. Senator Zahid Khan said that they are elected representatives and would not allow anyone to damage the infrastructure in the country.At this occasion, Federal secretary Water and power Nargis Sethi endorsed the decision and said that Parliament is a supreme institute therefore everyone should respect it and its members and when ever standing committee summons anyone he/she should come in the meeting.She said that by sitting together and discussions issues can be sorted out easily.
