Pakistan, Russia agree to give fresh impetus to bilateral ties

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has met with Russian PM Putin in Beijing on Wednesday. Prime Minister Putin appreciated Pakistans role in combating domestic challenges particularly the menace of terrorism and extremism. PM Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, who met on the sidelines of the annual meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), vowed to adopt a policy of understanding in all fields of mutual interest. On this occasion, PM Gilani said that terrorism is a danger for the peace of world. Pakistan and Russia agreed to strengthen their bilateral and economic ties in a bid to give new dimension to their relationship.
