The government has decided to give right to vote to overseas Pakistanis.During the cabinet session, the law ministry was directed to present a constitutional amendment bill after consultation with ministry of overseas Pakistani.The amendment bill will be presented in parliament after approval and will be then made part of electoral regulations.The ministry has also been directed to work on a mechanism through which the overseas Pakistanis will be able to cast their vote.According to sources, the decision was taken during Wednesday’s session. The members present in the session agreed that overseas Pakistanis should be given the right to vote.
