Summary The PM decides to give subsidy on electricity to 15660 agricultural tube wells in Balochistan.
This decision was made by the Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf at a meeting with a delegation of Zamindar Action Committee along with Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raeesani in Islamabad on Friday.The Prime Minister said the electricity charges pertaining to agricultural tube wells would be shared by the owners‚ provincial and Federal Governments.It was decided that owners of the agricultural tube wells will pay a fix cost of six thousand rupees per month while sixty percent of the balance bill will be picked up by the provincial government and forty percent by the federal government.The Prime Minister said Balochistan is one of the top most priorities of his Government.
