Summary Two dacoits killed in an alleged police encounter in Karachi were not robbers.
Police claims of killing two dacoits and recovering two TT pistols and a motorcycle from their possession during an alleged police encounter at Noor Jahan Road in Karachi proved false after both deceased turned out to be innocent citizens. Police even did not know about the identity of the deceased.Angry heirs ransacked furniture of the hospital when they reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for identity of their loved ones. They also damaged a police mobile and smashed it wind screen.Police took a U-turn when the angry heirs reached police station. Police later confessed that the two persons were professional butchers and went to Noor Jahan Road to recover the payments for animals they slaughtered on Eid-ul-Azha. SHO Police Station Noor Jahan, Raja Tariq declared the incident as a misunderstanding and sought apology.Both the victims have been identified as Adnan and Naeem and were residents of New Karachi.
