Former army generals involved in lease of Railways land to the Royal Palm Golf Club at throw-away prices recorded their statements before investigation team at NAB HQs.Three retired generals of Pak Army including then Minister for Railways Lt Gen (R)Javed Ashraf Qazi, Lt Gen(R) Saeed- uz- Zafar and Maj Gen(R) Hamid Hassan Butt appeared before National Accountability Bureau on Thursday.Meanwhile, two civilian officers involved in the case including Khursheed Ahmad Khan former Member Finance Pakistan Railways and Iqbal Samad Khan ex-GM Railways’ Operations were asked summoned to appear before investigation team to record their statements on November 5.The NAB spokesman said in a press release issued on Thursday that investigation is at final stage and will be completed shortly.According to findings of a special parliamentary committee, Pakistan Railways suffered a loss of Rs 25 billion as a result of the transfer of land.
