Chairing a high level meeting on law and order situation in Karachi on Thursday‚ the President directed to take indiscriminate action against miscreants.The authorities of the law enforcement agencies briefed the President about the law and order situation in the city.The authorities told the meeting that several accused of target killing, extortion and terrorism were arrested.Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah were also present in the meeting.Meanwhile‚ the President also chaired a high level meeting in Karachi pertaining to the establishment of Kidney and Liver Institute.The Capital Administration Division Minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal briefed the President about the Kidney‚ Liver Institute in Islamabad.The President directed to expedite the work for the establishment of the institute.Moreover, the President also chaired a meeting regarding Jinnah-Sindh Medical University and health sciences and Rs 50 million funds for the university were announced.
