Summary Hundreds of thousands of Muslims arrived at Maidan-e-Arafat on Thursday.
Mufti-e-Azam Al-Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh delivered hajj sermon in Masjid-e-Nimra on Thursday.The Mufticalled upon the Muslim community to follow teachings of Islam to promote peace and brotherhood.In his Hajj Sermon at Masjid-e-Nimra in Maidan-e-Arafat‚ he said Islam teaches patience and tolerance and abhors all types of violence in the society.He said it is the prime responsibility of the Muslims not to harm anyone on the basis of caste‚ creed and religion.Al-Sheikh Abdul AzizBin Abdullah Al-Sheikh said Islam is the only religion which has to stay and every Muslim should work to preach its teachings.He said we can implement Islam by following the Sunnah of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).He urged the Muslims to ensure their children become good Muslims and play their due role in establishing a peaceful society.He also asked the rulers to work for resolution of the problems being faced by the people.The Imam said Muslim countries will have to work for improving their economies to overcome socio-economic and political problems.He urged the Muslims to bring their wealth back in Muslim community.He said Muslims will have to solve their problems through their own means.During the sermon Mufti-e-Azam urged Muslims to set aside their differences, adding that there was no association between terrorism and Islam. The Mufti also declared suicide haram (against Islam).He said there was no place for violence and aggression in Islam. He termed all discussions against Shari’ah as propaganda, adding that few elements were talking against Islam in the name of freedom of expression.Over two million Hajj pilgrims, after overnight stay in Mina, started their journey to Mount Arafat after Fajr prayers.At Mount Arafat, around 14 kilometres southeast of Mina, the pilgrims will spend the day in prayer and reflection.After sunset, they will move on to Muzdalifah, halfway between Mount Arafat and Mina, where they spend the night.
