Summary At least 12 people were killed while 10 accused were arrested from Karachi on Wednesday.
Despite the warning of the Supreme Court to the police officials during the hearing of Karachi law and order case, violence continued to take lives in different areas of the city.A man namely Hamid was killed while resisting a robbery in Ghani Chorangi area while a man was shot dead and two others were injured in Golimar area.In another incident, a man was gunned down in Kemari while a dead body was recovered from Manghupir.Mutilated dead body of police constable namely Mehmood Zaheer was recovered from Lee Market area and a man was shot dead by unknown people in Machar Colony.A man namely Farooq was stabbed to death in Clifton, Neelum Colony while 16-year-old Amna was killed after an alleged assault and another woman was injured in Abbas Town.Meanwhile, CID police arrested three members of a banned religious outfit during a raid in Manghopir area.According to police, the accused were involved in target killing, extortion and other severe crimes. A man namely Mushtaq who allegedly murdered a policeman was also arrested from the same area.On the other hand, police arrested four robbers from Darakhshan area during a raid and recovered ammunition from their possession.Moreover, Rangers launched a search operation in Lyari Safety Line and arrested two members of gang war and recovered weapons including 2 machine guns, 10 hand grenades, 5 Kalashnikovs, 3 riffles, 8 pistols and 7 mortar shells from their possession.
