Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday declared fuel adjustment charges in power bills ‘null and void’ and ordered NEPRA to adjust the charged amount in the future bills.Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui heard the petitions filed against fuel price adjustment imposed by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).Justice Shaukar Aziz remarked that power distribution companies (DISCOS) cannot include the charges from previous bills into the fresh ones.The court has issued orders to adjust the collected fuel adjustment charges in the future bills. The decision applies on the bills of industrial and domestic consumers.
