Summary Interior Minister said strict security will be in place on Eid days.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Tuesday, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that cellular services in some part may be suspended for a limited time during Eid-ul-Azha. He said directives would be issued separately in this connection.Malik said 90 percent of the general public appreciated government’s previous decision to shut mobile networks during key events.Previously, the government had blocked the service during Youme Ishq-e-Rasool Day and Eid-ul-Fitr in a bid to keep any probable acts of terrorism at bay.The interior minister further said there would be a complete ban on the collection of skins of sacrificial animals by the banned organizations.He said a letter in this regard has been sent to the provincial chief secretaries‚ home secretaries and IGs.
