Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday turned into a battlefield when infuriated workers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) clashed with Airport Airport Security Force (ASF).Workers were present at the airport to welcome Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, the recently elected President of PPP (centre) Punjab.Clash erupted when ASF personnel stopped PPP workers at the passenger lounge.The aiport security force resorted to baton charge when PPP workers attacked themwith bamboo sticks while trying to enter into the passenger lounge.Several ASF personnel and PPP workers were reportedly injured in the clash.Rioters also vandalized the airport in protest and continued with their violence.
