Summary Hinting at probe team in IJI case Qamar Zaman Kaira said SC remarks about presidency were queer.
Talking to media persons outside Governor’s House Monday he said government would initiate an impartial investigation into IJI issue in the light of the Supreme Court verdict.He said a joint investigation team can be formed in this connection.However, he expressed his reservations about remarks in the SC verdict about the role of president.“President is elected through a political process and cannot be kept away from politics,” Kaira said, adding it is not an apolitical office.Terming the comments as strange he said if the president is not to do politics what else he would do.Kaira said if PML-N wants to hold a political meeting in the Presidents House it was most welcome.
