Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said there would be no peace, if individuals are more influential than state institutions.He was addressing on the second day of International Conference on ‘Peace through Law’, organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) in Lahore.The chief justice stressed on the importance of peace among the nations, states and institutions and said that respecting national and international laws guarantees peaceWe must point out the weaknesses to ensure establishment of peace in the country, Chief Justice said.He also urged that the state should take action against extremism according to the law.During conference, Yaseen Azad, the president of SCBA, paid tribute to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muahmmad Chaudhry over the historic judgment in Asghar Khan case.
