Summary Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said MMA will be formally restored soon.

A meeting headed by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman was held in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss the matter of restoration of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that the partners have agreed to restore the MMA.JUP leader Maulana Abul Khair Zubair said a committee headed by Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has been formed to review the restoration of MMA. He said the committee would meet within a month and restructuring of the coalition would be made in the light of the constitution and manifesto of the MMA.Maulana Fazl further said that the issue of Jamat-e-Islami was not discussed during the meeting; however, the committee would ponder if the leaders of the Jamat-e-Islami contact.Responding to a question regarding MMA’s past alliance with the Musharraf regime, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that sometimes the policies are made keeping in view the government while sometimes these policies have to be made keeping in view the interest of the state.Fazl said he was against the military operation in North Waziristan.He said that the joint resolution of the Parliament had completely rejected launching of any new military operation.
