Summary PMA has announced to observe three-day strike in protest against abduction of doctor in Quetta.

Pakistan Medical Association has announced protest demonstration and three day close down of the OPD and operation theatre against the abduction of renowned eyes specialist Doctor Saeed Ahmed in Quetta.As per details, Dr Saeed Ahmed head of Layton Rehmatullah Benevolence Trust (LRBT) eye hospital located in Quetta was kidnapped the day before.The Pakistan Medical Association has called meeting after the abduction while Dr Sultan Tareen and other doctors complained of government negligence and said that the provincial govt has failed to provide and ensure security to doctors and doctors are in dire difficulties to do their job in hospitals due to terror threat.On this occasion the PMA announced strike and took decision that the OPD and operation theater would close down for three days .The doctors would perform their duties in emergency.The PMA office holders demanded immediate recovery of Dr Saeed and stern action would be taken against criminals. If the government is unable to recover Dr Saeed the protest would be extended.Meanwhile, The RBTL employs also started protest demonstration against the abducted doctors and close down hospital and demanded immediate recovery of doctor due to which the patients coming from across Balochistan are facing severe difficulties.
