Eight PCO judges of Lahore High Court (LHC) and 2 PCO judges of Sindh High Court (SHC) have submitted application to take early retirement. LHCs judges who have taken premature retirement include Justice Najmuzzaman, Justice Anwarul Haq, Justice Sakhi Bukhari, Justice M Bilal Khan, Justice Fazal Miran Chohan, Justice Tariq Shamim, Justice Asghar Hyder and Justice Khalid Alwi. While Sindh High Courts Justice Nadeem Azhar Sadiqqi and Justice Saein Dannu Maetloo have sent applications through SHC to President Asif Ali Zardari. They have appealed to the Supreme Court (SC) to withdraw the review petitions. Former PCO judge Khwaja Naveed Ahmed has also sent apology statement to the SC. On the other hand, Judge Yasmeen Abbasi has refused to take early retirement and wanted to follow review petition filed in the SC.
