Summary Present leadership of the country did not want the construction of the dam, says petitioner's lawyer
Hearing a petition seeking construction of Kalabagh Dam (KBD), Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial asked the government to file a reply until the next hearing.The chief justice also expressed his concerns that the government was not showing seriousness for filing a reply on this project of public welfare.He said that the court had directed the federal government to submit a detailed written reply showing hurdles in construction of the dam.AK Dogar, counsel for the petitioner, said the present leadership of the country did not want the construction of the dam and giving “lame excuses”.
