Summary Finance ministry has released Rs.39.9 billion under head of GST on services for 2011-12.
The breakup of the released amount shows that Rs 22.00 billion have been released to Punjab while Rs 1.5 billion were released to Sindh under GST on services.Ministry of Finance has released Rs 4.9 billion to Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa and Rs 1.8 billion to Balochistan respectively under GST on services.The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) is given Rs 9.7 billion under the GST on services.Currently, nothing has been retained or withheld by the Federal Government payable to Provinces on account of GST on Services for the FY 2011-12.It is also informed that all releases under Divisible Pool and Straight Transfers including GST on Services are made on the basis of actual tax collection reported by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
