Summary A petition was filed in IHC Monday to stop mudslinging campaign against the judiciary.

A petition was filed in Islamabad High Court in this regard by Nadim Ahmad through advocate Akram Sheikh.Information ministry, PEMRA and chiefs of federal and provincial police have been made respondents.The petitioner took the plea a new series of character assassination campaign against Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had been launched.The petitioner prayed the court to direct information ministry to issue orders to PEMRA to take steps for stopping publication of insulting material against the judiciary and further direct the federal and provincial police officers to register cases against those involved in giving statements against the judiciary and maligning it.
