Summary Government has finalised the draft of Swiss letter which will be presented in Supreme Court today.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf approved the draft of the letter to be written to Swiss authorities.The draft of the letter will be presented in the Supreme Court today in the in the NRO implementation case.The letter was drafted by government legal experts team headed by Wasim Sajjad.On the other hand, on the expected response of the Supreme Court to the letter, a high level meeting of Pakistan People’s Party was held at the Prime Minister’s House. Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf chaired the meeting which was also attended by Law Minister Farooq H Naek, Minister of Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Shah, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and other top ranked leaders.According to sources, the PPP has devised a plan in case the SC takes extreme measures. The sources revealed that the prime minister will tender resignation to avoid imminent disqualification for refusing to write to Swiss courts to reopen anti-graft cases against President Zardari.
