Summary Business, educational activities remain suspended due to strike.
A shutter-down strike was witnessed in different parts of Sindh on Monday following the call by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) in protest against police’s refusal to register an FIR into the murder of Bashir Khan Qureshi.Transport on the roads remained low and markets were closed in some of the the areas.Complete shutter down was being observed in Tando Mohammad Khan, Dadu, Khairpur, Jamshoro and Mirpurkhas.However, situation in Karachi remained normal.Earlier, the angry protestors torched at least three vehicles in different areas.Additional contingent of police personnel have also been deployed to avert any untoward incident.Separately, leader of the Awami Tehreek, Ayaz Latif Palejo, also announced to observe strike across Sindh against tabling of Local Government ordinance in the Sindh Assembly.
