PTI to provide health facility to every citizen: Imran

Summary Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has tabled five-point health policy in order to facilitate every citizen.

Low standard and outdated health centres would be closed across the country, said PTI chairman Imran Khan. In order to make the health department full of momentum, establishment of District Health Board was also announced.In this regard, party’s central leadership held a meeting in Islamabad and announced five-point health policy. According to the prescribed policy, new rules and regulations would be introduced regarding infectious diseases, national sanitation programme, standard of edibles and new drug policy.The meeting suggested that all hospitals would be organised under the district health board.The body also decided that lack of man power would also be mended with proper recruitment in health centres.It was also said in the meeting that special steps would be taken in order to depoliticise Nursing Council and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.According to health policy suggested by the PTI leadership, it was also said that the primary health care centres would not only be consolidated but modern and latest equipments would also be provided to them.Apart from this, health information system would be made active and full of life. Powers in health department would be transferred to gross root level.While pinpointing the core issue faced by the country, Imran Khan said that governance system is the core issue which needed to be reformed.He said that he had materialized three dreams; there is only one that would be made a living reality with the passage of time.
