Summary The electricity shortfall in the country has reached 3,793MW due to increase in demand.
According to NDT sources, the total power generation is recorded as 12,213 MW against the demand of 16,000 MW.Therefore, the residents of rural areas are facing 12 to 14 hours loadshedding, while the loadshedding hours in urban areas have been increased to 12 hours.
