Summary Petrol and CNG services would be closed Friday as a protest against blasphemous film.
Petroleum Dealers Association secretary information has said that petroleum dealers would also stand by their brothers while holding protest against anti Islam movie and all petrol pumps would remain closed in this regard.Moreover, transport alliance also has announced to hold strike on Friday as a protest against anti Islam movie presented by US director.Earlier, All Pakistan CNG Association has also announced to go on strike as a protest against anti Islam movie.On September 21, all CNG stations would remain closed in this regard.APCNGA chairman Ghias Abdullah Paracha while addressing a press conference said that the entire nation has been extremely hurt by anti Islam movie; that is why they have announced to keep CNG stations closed across Pakistan.Criticising the rulers, he said that the government has increased CNG prices by Rs 25 per kg which is diametrically unbearable and unacceptable for the users.He said that the authority of ascertaining petroleum prices should be taken back from oil marketing companies.He also demanded that gas development surcharge on CNG should also be decreased, adding that OGRA officials are in habit of blackmailing them. He also warned that if their demands were not met, they would cordon off the OGRA office.He also demanded of the Petroleum Advisor that CNG prices should be deregulated just like petroleum products. It would help bringing down the prices of energy sources.
