Summary Political leaders have condemned killing of JI leader, Dr Pervez Mahmood in Karachi.
In his statement, Ameer, Jamaat-i-Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawwar Hasan said that Dr Pervez Mahmood has rendered great services during his tenure as Town Nazim which cannot be forgotten. He said that the killers are roaming free in the city but no one is taking any action against them.Jamaat-i-Islami leader Naimat Ullah Khan said that police failed to provide protection to Dr Pervez despite the fact that they knew about the death plot.Ijaz Durrani, a spokesman of Bilawal House, also condemned the killing of Dr Pervez. In his statement he termed the killing of JI leader an attempt to fan violence in Karachi.He said that Pakistan People’s Party strongly condemns the killing of Dr Pervez Mahmood.
