According to police, a roadside bomb killed 13 passengers of a van and injured three others in northwest Pakistan near the Afghan border.Senior police officer Ejaz Abid says the passenger van came under attack early Sunday in the Jandol area of Lower Dir district.Abid says the bomb was planted on the dirt road connecting border villages with the town of Munda and the Bajur tribal region.He says the bomb was detonated when the van loaded with passengers reached near Jandol at around 7 a.m. He says the injured passengers were rushed to a hospital, where some are in serious condition.Lower Dir district has seen bomb and gun attacks from across the border from local Islamist militants.
