Locals have formed a lashkar (group) to establish peace and eliminate terrorism in Matta, a tehsil of Swat, Dunya News Saturday reported. District Nazim Jamal Nasir will lead the lashkar. Leaders of the lashkar said they would fully cooperate with security forces to establish peace and crush militants. Addressing the lashkar Brigadier Jamal Abdul Nasir maintained that people of Matta had made a new history by taking up arms against terrorism. He believed that peace would be established soon after the lashkars formation. The security forces have broken the backbone of the terrorists in the area, the brigadier added. He told that the area had been made safe due to the strategy of the security forces.
