Summary Pakistani exports may be affected by poor infrastructure of industrial sector.

The fire incident in Karachi occurred when Pakistani products were getting duty-free export relaxation under GSP Plus in the European Union.Major part of these items consists of textile products.The national exchequer may be enhanced by one billion euro after duty-free export of 75 out of 2014 items.However, this agreement with European Union may be harmed after the tragedy of fire.As usual, all the textile mills of Pakistan try to implement precautionary measures in accordance with rules and regulations; however, the European Union may demand reassessment of these measures after this perilous and precarious incident.On the other hand, textile factories would have to renew their Social Accountability Certificate.Apart from this, Europe may also demand review on Labour Laws in this regard.
