Summary An earthquake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale was felt in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and GB.
According to Met Office, an earthquake of low intensity, measuring 5.5, hit parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and the federal capital on night between Wednesday and Thursday.The epicenter of the quake was at Afghan-Tajikistan border. According to Met Office, the tremor was felt in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Dir, Bonir, Haripur, Swat, Mangora, Ghadar, Swabi and adjacent areas, causing panic among the residents.
