Presidency has started election manipulations: Nisar

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has accused President Asif Ali Zardari of using public money to buy the loyalty of journalists.Speaking to media outside Parliament House here, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader said that the Presidency has been turned into a hub of conspiracies where President Zardari is busy in looting the national wealth.“Zardari is involved in unfair practices before the elections,” Nisar said.Nisar alleged the government of paying Rs2-4 billion to some television channels and anchor persons as a part of election rigging.He accused some black sheeps wearing masks of journalists were being used by the Presidency which purchased them in billions of rupees.Opposition leader suggested the government to bring him before the court if he was wrongly accusing them in the matter of secret fund where billions of rupees were involved.Ch. Nisar demanded an independent audit of government advertisement fund which have been used to buy big anchors.To a query, Nisar said that he had directly talked to army chief Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani over NLC scandal last year adding that he had brought the matter before Public Accounts Committee.Nisar also alleged that the government and its coalition partners are not sincere for the cause of new provinces.He said the government led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is doing nothing but political gimmickry in the name of new provinces.Lashing out at the government, the PML-N leader underscored the government wants to do away with the disgraces of incompetence and corruption it incurred during the last four and half years.
