The Supreme Court has accepted bail petition of Federal Minister Makhdoom Shuhabuddin in ephedrine case.A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk resumed the case hearing on Wednesday.The apex court while granting interim bail, directed Makhdoom Shahabuddin to submit Rs. 500,000 surety bond.The court also issued notice to the Anti-Narcotic Force and adjourned the hearing till September 25.Later talking to the media persons‚ Federal Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin said the FIA and challan do not contain his name.Similarly‚ there are no charges against him in the warrant of arrest.He said the matter is subjudice and he does not want to comment further. He‚ however‚ said the judiciary is working independently.
