Summary The Met Office has predicted more rain across the country during the next 24 hours.
Met Office has forecast widespread rain, thundershower with scattered heavy falls in all parts of the country including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.According to details, widespread rain with scattered heavy falls are expected in Southern Punjab including D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan divisions, Sindh including Karachi, northeast Balochistan (Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, Quetta and Kallat divisions).While scattered rain/thundershower is likely in Khyber-Pakhtoonkhaw, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.The Met Department also issued severe weather warning of flash flood - tropical cyclone - heavy Rainfall.It said heavy rain would cause flash floods in Sukkar, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Quetta, Kallat, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, D.G. Khan, Bhawalpur, Multan divisions during next 24 hours.Chief amount of rainfall during last 24 hours in Khanpur was 199 mm, R.Y.Khan 123mm, D.G.Khan 96mm, Sahiwal 95mm, Okara 94mm, Multan 74mm, Bahawalnagar 73mm, N.P.Thal 67mm, Shorkot 66mm, Bahawalpur 61mm, T.T.Singh 55mm, Hyderabad 52mm, Jhang 47mm, Bahawlpur and Faisalabad 35mm, Thatha 32mm, Jaccobabad and Rohri 28mm, Sargodha 25mm, Chorr 23mm, Shaheed Benazirabad 21mm, Parachinar, Joharabad, Bhakkar and Rawalakot 20mm.In Karachi, dozens of feeders tripped after light rain as a result several parts of the city remained without electricity.In Hyderabad, rain water entered houses in the low-lying areas while several vehicles were stranded as roads submerged under rain water.Continuous rain in Multan forced the people to remain in their houses. In Khairpur, roads were submerged under water after heavy rainfall. Emergency was declared in the city as rain water entered houses and streets.
